Fell off the wagon Friday. Eating out of control this week. Managed to put on 3 kilos. Got my surgeon appointment in 11 days time. Had a **** week. Dad went into hospital 2 days ago and I am staying with my mum at the moment. :wave_cry:

Can someone explain why I sabotage myself like this, when everything was going so well?
 
Most people self sabotage because of low self esteem, basically we don't feel that we deserve to succeed at weight loss, and so sub-consciously we try to prevent it happening, which then reinforces the belief that we can't do it because we are failures :( It's a bit of a rough cycle and you have to work to break it. Spend some time on yourself, try some affirmations (stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself some things you like about yourself), and work on learning to love and accept yourself and believe in your own worth.
 
Sorry to hear about your Dad. Reading between the lines, I suspect if your mum is anything like mine was she is probably looking after you too well. It's what mums do. You maybe letting her rather than refusing the well intended attention.

I may have this completely wrong, but I can imagine that scenario happening when my mum was around.

I hope your dad gets better soon and you get back on track.
 
iv been thru a simular thing in the past month really not great but try to figure out why you did it i found thats helped me, dont beat yourself up tho hun its a long path your on and there will be blips along the way xx

Also you are under stress and sometimes we turn to food for comfort. try finding something else to distract from turning to food. Also, have you considered it may be totm.

Hi tyraboots I am so so sorry you are having such a rough time.
There is nothing you can do about whats gone but you can still get your weight off over the next 11 days I know you can.
Why dont you use the pre feeding diet as thats what you are supposed to be on leave the milk diet for now, and concentrate on the date coming up, or if its the eating that you are finding makes you want to eat more then go back strictly onto the milk diet for the next week and you will notice a big difference.
Come on Tracey you did so so well before dont go and blow it now, you know you can do it.............and your worth it!!!!!
