I joined BOSPA who for a £20 lifetime one off fee send you some leaflets & a laminated card explaining the bearer has had surgery which has reduced his/her stomach size. Please allow them to order a small sized meal from main menu or select from your children's menu thank you.

I've never ever been refused a kids meal in a restaurant though more often than not I just order one of the lovely starters that are usually on the menu. No one ever minds you ordering one instead of a main course. Sometimes even the starters are more than I can manage but at least I don't feel like I'm wasting food. I also carry a small Tupperware box with me so I can take the remainder of my dinner home if I've ordered a normal portion.

I'd stay away from ready meals as much as you can, they are usually low in nutrition, high in chemicals and pretty tasteless most of the time. Try and go for as good a quality food as you can afford as you need the best you can get now you are eating so little.

Thanks mrs quiggle I prefer fresh food anyways im just terrible at cooking I can do veg chicken and potato but anything more complex Ill struggle thing I need some lessons or just try an see if I fail. My sister had the bypass to in feb and she often orders starters instead , I already thought about the Tupperware box to so I can keep the rest for later.

Did I read somewhere you live in Sutton ?

Also bear in mind kids meals Aren't usually v healthy choices to make (bizarrely)! Most pub chains publish their nutritional info on the net it's a good eye opener!

Good point Jo, at table to table they do a good selection & having checked things online I tend to plump for their 5oz steak ( medium to well done so its cooked well but not to dry), mash & baked beans all for £3.99 great deal. But they do quorn or beef bolognaise, chilli & a couple of additional selection slots to choose salad, rice or pasta to go with it, its not a huge selection as such but with all the combinations its really good menu. It takes a while & as long as I've not sipped to close to eating I can manage it without my plastic pot doggy bag coming into play.
