Ladies - Cerazette

Hi ladies,
i'm just over a week out, have still been taking cerazette and pre op nurse and mr reddy said it was ok too. but have been experiencing slight discharge, sorry if this is tmi, but wondered if this is due to the op, the weightloss, and will it not be as effective now, tried googling

Might be. I've been on it for some time pre op. doctors said ok immediately after op. as soon as I was on it my periods stopped but since op I have light & irregular periods. Clinic said its normal as you can get hormonal imbalance post op. it should rebalance. Watch this space!

Probably just the anaesthetic effecting the progesterone absorption - hence some spotting. You should be fine in about 4 weeks once it's all out your system.

Problems

Hi Ladies,

After my op (about 4mths) I came off of Cerazette as I was having lots of problems. Very irregular bleeding and also bery heavy. Since I have stopped taking them I am fine, my weight has continued to fall and i'm like a new woman! I did consider trying an implant again but hubby had the snip instead lol. Hope it settles down for you
