My daughter will be 5 months when I have my wls. How long will I need help caring for her? My husband works full time. Should I ask my mom to stay with me for a week?

Hi, i think the more help you can get with the baby the better.
You will be sore and will need tome to heel love.
Maybe your mum staying just for a few days after you op will be a great help for you. xxxxx

As ppl are advised not too do any heavy lifting for the first few weeks, please bear this in mind .. Good luck on your wl journey xx

I'm in a simular situation to ur self my baby is 5 and a half months just waiting on a date for surgery so he will still be young and I'm worried about lifting and carrying him, my partner will b off for a week with me and then bk at work :-( think I may aak my mom to help out a bit!! Xx

If I remember correctly, normal advise is to lift nothing heavier than your baby post-surgery, but like others have said, I would rope in any help you can get after your op so you can really concentrate on recovering properly xxx

Maybe you could set up a rota, you could have your mom and some friends taking it in turns to come sit with you and lend a hand when needed? That way your mom isn't committing to all day every day and you get a bit of variety, so much gossiping to do :) Best bit is baby has lots of people who want to give him some love n attention :) xx
