Just wonder what you all do with the christmas leftovers? Apart from the traditional turkey with pickles that is......

Me i'm gonna make bubble n squeak and have it with leftovers from yesterdays dinner with a squirt of HP on it lol xxx

Ive just mashed the carrots and sprouts with 3 roast spuds and plan on making patties, covering them in flour and frying them in spray oil - having them with the turkey and beef and gravy :)

My sister took a bowl of leftover veg and some pork home for her doggy - the beautiful Jess.

The remainder of Wilbur (our leg of pork) is sitting in the fridge. I've no idea what to do with it other than eat it cold with cheese n pickles. Can it be reheated?

our dog died a few months ago, son is overseas in the army, daughter is on the milk diet, so what the birds don't eat will probably go in the bin.

well i whisked an egg into my leftover spuds, carrots n sprouts with a dash of worcester sauce and it made the most delicious light fluffy bubble n squeak ever :)

we had turkey sandwiches on christmas day night, turkey mayo and salad yesterday, and turkey curry tonight, and there is still a bit left, i darent leave it for another day, so the dog is having the rest
xxx

I bought a very large pork joint but thought I would waste a lot if I cooked it all so cut it in half and cooked half of it and am just about to have a cook off making stir fry pork and homemade sweet and sour to freeze.

yum yum stellap you're making me hungry lol xx

I usually have left overs from my own dinners, still serve a tad too much but cant eat it!

Any veggies left over on xmas day went to the dogs, added to their usual dry food - they loved it!

Last night I made for my OH a turkey, green bean, sweetcorn and noodle stir fry - lots of spices! and now the turkey is no more.

Curry or buffet style with pickles etc still seems to be the favorite :)

Gave all mine to the dogs as after Xmas day and Boxing day I get sick of the sight of it!!

However I have clever dogs - although I mixed everything well into their normal meat and biscuits they managed to pull out every parsnip and bit of broccoli that they didnt like!! How??? Boxers have snub noses so I find their selective ability quite clever. They did eat the sprouts though and carrots. Now rather windy . . .:(:(

After we've carved as much as we can off the turkey the carcass goes into a big pot along with any leftover sausagemeat, stuffing, veg etc. And we boil it all up into a hearty soup. Delish !

Sounds good angie - if I had known what you were making I would have been coming for tea!! I needed normal food tonight so intended to have a bit of grilled chop new potatoes and veg. Somehow ended up having mussels in wine and garlic sauce followed by the last 1/2inch portion of Xmas pud. What am I like!!!!! Back on the wagon tomorrow I genuinely dont want any more rich food . . .

We had a buffet for 17 people on boxing day so not too much in the way of leftovers.
Still choccies and biscuits hanging around though that keep finding their way into my mouth...not looking forward to thursdays weigh in....damn those tasty carbs x
