Ok thought I would start this and see how we go when we get our answers.

I am waiting to see if I will get tummy tuck funding from the PCT... I reckon my chances are realistically about 46%...why that percentage...not sure just how I am feeling at the moment!

So what do you guys reckon your percentage is. Then we can check up once we hear about funding and see if we were right or wrong!!!! ( Reasons for percentages too guys x):D

OK i am in the same boat as you at the moment and waiting to hear on funding. I think my % of getting funding realistically (sp!) is about 40%. To be honest i think this is so im more set up for a fall if you know what i mean.

In a nutshell my story is: Weight put on, 4 & half stone, lost all apart from half stone. BMI is 25. After children muscles were over stretched leaving a gap of 8cm along with aching muscles and back. Umbilical hernia which has been repaired. Generous overhang which surgeon said can be taken away easily. Main reason for TT is the muscle repair according to surgeon report. So feel free to place your bets on % in my favour, lol xx

Depends on your criteria ie why you need it etc...tell us more and we can maybe hazard a guess...xx
.
Hi Charliegirl
Well I actually meant anyone else guessing their own percentage, but this way is just as good. Lost 4 stone after two c-sections massive overhang and interigo probs also muscles have an 8cm gap...what do you reckon????

I know someone who had very similar and she kept getting sore and infected under the over hang. She had a tummy tuck but that was in Lancashire. I always say nothing ventured nothing gained and I would ask...if they knock you back the first time ask again....I would go for at least three requests for funding, state your case firmly and be prepared for a fight...think you should be able to swing it.....obviously if it affects your emtional state ie you get depressed with it that is part of your fight...good luck..xx

HI PSL,
As you'll probably remember i have my tt 4 wks ago, as it's been stated many times before it is a lottery with regaurds to the area you live in & how badly you need the op.
Have a look at my photo's you'll see how my tummy was. my ps said anyone with a large overhang like mine & in need of the muscle repair has a good chance of getting funding.
Have & a look & compare.
Good luck.

Scuse me for crashing the thread. My tummy looks much the same as yours in the pic just before your TT. I am hoping to start Xenical as I have 4-5 stone to lose so I think it will be even worse IF I manage to lose the weight :(

I have had 4 children, 1 major abdo surgery when 16 weeks pg and then a section so my muscles are well and truly mullered!! I really hope I can get it on NHS but not sure if funding is successful in my area as no-one on this forum has mentioned it :(

You look absolutely fab in your after pics!!! What size clothes did you start in and what size are you in now if you don`t mind me asking?

Hi bubbels,

For some reason I cant look at your photos. I am hopeing when I have lost all my weight to have a tt on the NHS. Fingers crossed. I still have a long way to go, I know that my tummy will be bad, because around 13 years ago I had a emergency op and I was cut from hip to hip and now my tummy hangs over, so god help me when I lose my weigh.
Mandy x
