well i got my letter from spire hospital, i said id tell u what they say so here goes.............
An appointment has been made for you to attend the board room at the spire hospital to discuss your request for weight loss surgery.
this appointment will provide all the information you will require to make an informed decision regarding your obesity management. this is a group session where ten patients have the opportunity to discuss issues related to surgery. (there are facilities to accommodate one escort per patient)
you will recieve information about :-
please attend the main reception desk on 28/09/09 at 09.30am.
this appointment must be attended prior to a decision bein made regarding your progression to surgery.
this is the bit i missed out sorry
if you then wish to discuss progression to surgery the specialist nurse/dietician will arrange an appointment for you. this appointment wii take place in the out patients departments approximatelt two weeks after the group meeting. you should use this time to read the information provided to help you make an informal decision about your chosen obesity management plan. you should formulate questions you may have regarding your care, the specialist nurse, consultant and dietician will carry out a full assessment of your fitness to proceed to surgery and answer any questions you have.

- Surgical options.
- Risks and benefits of surgery.
- Procedures before, during and after surgery.
- Diet and lifestyle change.
