Lighten Period (Sorry TMI)

I am scheduled for surgery on Tuesday I come on my period yesterday and it's a little heavy due to my PCOS, I spoke to my advisor and she said it will be fine and probably be going by Tuesday. My periods are so unpredictable sometimes I'm on heavy for a week.

Would it be okay for me to take ibuprofen to lighten it a little?

I have heard that a lot of people have been on their period whilst having surgery but I would need to take a urine test on the morning of surgery and it's gone to be embarrassing as it will basically be the same colour as blood.

Please give me some advice, I've waited so long for this to happen and now the time is finally here something has to happen.

I didn't have this but I HONESTLY believe you can't throw at them anything they've not come across before.

Just concentrate on your recovery and anything else is for them to 'cope' with ;-D xx
