PATIENTS of bariatric weight loss surgery across Lincolnshire can now join a new support group based at Louth hospital.
Sandilands woman Claire Greig founded Bariatric-Obesity-Surgery-Support (BOSS) after undergoing a surgery to fit a gastric band four years ago. The procedure helped her to lost 13 stone in weight and drop from a size 32 to a size 16.
Claire said: "We are not a slimming club and there are no scales or fees. We are a warm, welcoming, confidential support group run by patients for patients."
The first meeting of the group is to take place on Sunday November 1 from 2pm to 4pm at the Thoresby Suite at Louth County Hospital.
