Next to my belly button where I have my injections it a little hard under the skin. I think its because I kept doing the injections around the same place. Anyone else had this? Sorry I feel like a hypochondriac keeping asking questions! Xx
Sometimes you get that with the heparin injections but it will go in time.....mine did anyway. If they havnt gone in a about a week Id get them checked XX
You shouldn't massage with heparin. It's one if the few exclusions to the rule. Moving it around helps though. I had this happen once during my pregnancy (had them daily throughout) and it's just something that happens occasionally. So long as it is not red & inflamed, very sore, growing in size etc I was told not to worry. Mine disappeared (she says feeling her belly!) after a few weeks I think.
Never rub after your clexane injections! You stimulate the drug which is designed to stop the blood clotting and you will end up with bruises. Always go for a new area, if your anything like me you'll have enough tum to avoid the same hole twice xx
Aww Bless... it's those... glad you've only one more to go Angel... I was glad to finish those too... as Dotty says the bruises soon go... love and hugs Angel xxx
You could be withdrawing the needle to quickly,so the drug sits/under close to the skin..
I get a hard lump if I pull out to quickly...
I was told you have to count to 5 after you finish injecting before removing the needle.
I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for 6 years and 5 injections a day. xx
I was the same with insulin... but it's a different type of injection with heparin and blood clotting... (stings too) but I know what you mean Lisa... I've had loads of lumps and bumps over the years with insulin sites despite moving around regularly to legs, arms and tum...
What a coincidence, it was only last night that i said to hubby that i could feel a little hard lump on my tummy...never occured to be it could be my byetta injection. I'm not so worried now ladies, thanks x
