Anyone else suffer with bad head aches i thought my head was going to explode and im drinking loada of water x
 
Hi Kellie - fairly common around days 2-4 but keep drinking water and should clear up. You may have heard of ketosis which is a state your body enters when glucose stores run out and your body starts converting fat to energy. Usually accompanied by bad breath too, although you can also get euphoric around day 5 and find you have lots of energy and lose feeling hungry. Odd combination of events but does signify going in the right direction!!! Good luck. Tracey xxx

Hi Kellie, I've just started this too, going into day 3 today, and I've woken up with a really banging headache too. Although I was kinda expecting it, cos when I did LL some years ago, it happened then too.

How are you getting on with it? What are you having?

I feel sick every time i drink a shake and head is ok up to now xx

what shakes are you drinking?

I can't stomach them after an awful experience on LL, and as such, Im just on milk, yoghurt, NAS squash and jelly. But yes, my head is banging this morning. I have super strong painkillers for my migraines, even taken some tramadol to try but it wont shift . . .

We're going through it together, diet and op date. Altho I am thinking of the longer term, its hard when you're struggling or having a terrible headache right now isn't it?

Yes its very hard hope your head ache goes off i have bannana and low fat yogurt for breakfast and 1shake and a shake for dinner and shake for tea with a necterine with 2 litres of water and loads of coffee lol

my shakes i use are what iv got in so slimfast and tescos slim shakes i prefer tescos though

i asked if i could use just milk the nurse told me no mine had to be shakes but my sister has already had opp and she.used milk just depends which hospital your at
she was at sunderland and im at james cook oh i also have sugar free jelly when i remember to make it lol x

Ah thats interesting :)

The milk diet wasn't even given to me as an option by the people I am going through, they suggested shakes but I said I couldn't have them and was told about the low cal/fat diet, but even then I was finding I was eating too much.

I decided to do milk diet on my own and its so much easier not having that choice. Although, I'm finding because I drink a lot of water and other fluids, that I actually struggle to get beyond 1 1/2 to 2 pints of milk.

My headache has gone tho and I've just survived a group BBQ with so much food and I sat there with my can of pepsi max lol

How's your headache?
 
I'm not even allowed fruit, would love a banana right now!
I've not had any headache, just soooo tired and my mouth has a foul taste in it.

Hope.your headache goes.soon hun my headache has gone i feel fine i did bite a bite of a cheese toastie but hubby spotted me through window and so i spat it in the bin i just find it so hard x
 
It can be hard at times, I found that last night with the Garlic bread and came so close to doing as you did Kellie.

Hang in there and glad to hear the headache has gone!

How much milk are you supposed to have as im only having 250ml x3 as thats my shakes should i be drinking more ?
 
I am not on shakes at all Kellie, just purely milk. So am having 3 pints, (mixed skimmed/semi) 2 small yoghurts and NAS jelly, some of my milk I am having within milk Jelly as I just can't drink that amount by the time I've had water, squash and stuff to drink lol

but Im not having shakes at all . . .but if you're having shakes etc ~ then maybe that amount is right?
 
well i carnt drink the shakes anymore making me feel sick so im just drinking milk skimmed milk im having 3 pints 2 yogurts 2 pieces of fruit as thats what my surgeon wrote down and sugar free jelly oh and 2 litres of water im only my periods and its so hard at the moment not eating food but il survive x
 
Sounds good :) I miss my fruit lol

But yes you're right, we'll live. Hard to believe that it will be the night before in a week. Wow.
 
I know so close getting a little scared now also been cleaning up for when i get out but with my kids it will be a mess again in the morning x
 
I've been on milk and yogurt diet for the last two weeks ( looks like I'm going to be on it for another 3/ 4 weeks).
I found I got dizzy spells, lacked concentration and got headaches in the first few days. It does get easier. Make sure you drink lots of water, headaches are one of the first signs of dehydration. Good luck
