Hi, I am a bander but may be this might help. From my own experience I believe after the surgery you can feel bloated and the body is still experiencing some changes and u might tend to gain weight. I did gained 5lb and I was so worried but when my body got healed and use to the changes I started loosing weight. And also they always advice not to worry about any weight gain at this early stage because its the healing stage ;i am sure before u know it, you will start loosing weight real quick. So Cheer up girl
And also if you are struggling to eat then you should know that the wound in your stomach is still healing and you might find it difficult to cope. What stage are on? Liquid or mushy diet. Also try to drink plenty, it does help.

hi Paula
I am on pureed and smooth apple sauce consistency just about able to eat 1/4 of a tin of soup but just have no appetite for food its so easy to forget to eat I have had to sea a alarm to remind me lol

well I have lost the weight I had gained thru the op..and a further 3llb all in the space of 7 days go figure!

You went through surgery, you gain weight simply from what they use to pump up your body and its a pretty drastic thing to be putting the body through.

Also, looking at a wider/longer picture is important as we can naturally gain 5lb or so in a 24hour period. But its often these things that we don't see and then think we're failing or doing something wrong :)

Go you!

Thats great :)
