If you have done atkins before would probably know the basics for low carb foods/menu's and as long as u bake, broil, steam, grill your meat etc and cut the fat off u should be fine. Just watch your potatoes, rice, pasta, any bread products ( bagel, bread, rolls etc ) intake ( that's if you do/can eat them)- I watch The biggest loser and got a gr8 tip off there for substitute for mash potato. Instead of using spuds use cauliflower, just boil/steam in the normal way and mash like potato ( no added salt or butter though), you will have to drain quite a lot of the water , the consistency is just like mash potato( also sweet potato mixed in is nice 2 xx) Hope this helps xx BD

Google Low Carb Megastore. There may be things you may find useful. I shop there when I am on low carbohydrate diet.

When I did weightwatchers years ago, I used to love bolognaise sauce on boiled shredded white cabbages...instead of pasta. I also do their Thai meatballs recipe made with minced turkey, scrummy with a bit of sauce and stir fried veg

The thai meatballs sound lovely . . .do you or could you share the recipe? :)

I bought a spirali gadget (from Amazon) so can make vegetable 'spaghetti' instead of having pasta - courgette, sweet potato etc. I've been making a really tasty courgette and prawn stir fry recently with my courgette spaghetti - yum.

See I would never of thought of this, thanks xx

I would like to share ww recipe, however I would get into trouble if i replicated it as its only available to ww subscribers ... But if you were to combine minced turkey and/or pork, with fresh (tastes better than dried) chopped ginger, garlic, chilli, lemon grass, corriander and seasoning to taste, roll the mixture into little balls, then lightly brown the balls gently in a frying pan (using a few squirts of low fat oil spray) till almost cooked through. Then prepare a chiken stock or gravy and pop the meat balls in there to finish off you would almost be there ... You could then stir fry veg to serve this on top of. Or add a few dry noodles into the sauce to thicken it up and soak up some of the sauce. Or even just add some shredded veggies into the sauce to cook ... X lots of protein in both lean turkey and lean pork :)

Im sure I can make a thai meatball from that list :) thank you! :)

The best thing is you can make a big batch of the meatballs and use a few the day you make them, then freeze the rest without any saue, and just take out what you want, when you want then. In fifteen minutes, I can then have a really healthy high protein meal. While hubby has a fattening takeaway
