hi
hopefully worrying over nothing but hey.
if you can imagine the wound line ,well near the bottom just before ive been closed up ive got a lump kinda bit. its on the left side of the scar. is hard to feel. not sure if it hurts cos it all hurts lol.
not sure if thats where my pouch is now? or if i should be worried. dont want to look like a total pratt but you know.
thanks guys xxxx

hi can someone move this for me? told you my brain cells had died lol.xx

HI Mandy, Ive moved this into the main forum for you.

It doesnt sound like your pouch hun - that is higher up.

Keep a close eye on the lump, and if it gets hot or red, or starts weeping then get to your GP for some anti-biotics as it may be infected.

Not trying to worry you hun, and it may be nothing as like you say - it all hurts.

How are you feeling in yourself now hun?

thanks sam
didnt think it could be . nah no pain so ill see how it goes. i feel odd to be honest. very tired cant do anything . drinking enough is really hard. my cat bit me last night and i just burst into tears . i think im ok though just tough, sleeping is a nightmare cant really get comfy.
i want to do things but not sure if im allowed and have attention span of a knat. ill be ok though xxx

hi was getting worried as you didnt reply to my texts:confused:
I have all sorts of lumps and bumps so it probably just where the fat has been disturbed. It does get easier just takes time.
You find lumps and bumps everywhere each day is different.
Take care

p.s i found it easier to sit up on sofa to begin with. Just put recliner up and slept better its just a thought.

thats fine as long as you ok hun.
Text me when you get it back i will call you one evening X
take it easy it does get better :)

Hi Mandy

I had my bypass done lapascopicly (sp?) so am not really sure what sort of wounds you have, if they are not hurting or bleeding or weeping I would imagine it is ok, but you can always ring the wl people to check if you are worried.

Dont bend down and pick anything up, dont lift anything heavy.

I found using a half emptied bean bag in bed helped me get comfortable.

Take care

Lovely to see you back Mandy xxx
Its a really odd feeling isnt it, I have trouble staying awake more than a couple of hours but I am lucky and have no trouble getting comfy to sleep, I just lay down and away I am into the land of nod, I guess I am just very lucky on that point. The memory span of a gnat is wierd too, I start talking and then just get too tired and fuzzy headed to carry on.
As for wound issues, just had to call the ward to ask them about one of mine because I was glued and one of my biggest wounds has opened a bit, was told to keep it dry and cover it and keep an eye on it, problems with wounds is just something you dont want to deal with though so I understand your worries.
Im really glad that you are home and on the mend now and by the grace of God we will be all well and healthy and out of pain really soon xxx

Hi Mandy I agree with the others just to keep an eye it could just be swelling or it could be a little haematoma(blood blister) under the skin but as SAm says if it isnt red painful weeping or getting bigger it is probably allright. It it bothers you then the best thing is to get your practice nurse to check it out for you tomorrow.
Hope you feel stronger day by day it will take a little while to feel back on top so dont worry

Hun is it your wound that is opened and a bit weepy if so then it could mean u have a slight infection, maybe call your bariatiric team or get your practise nurse to have a look at it tomorrow.
Take care luv Roch xx
