Ok so I'm nearly seven weeks post op RNY. I know everyone is different, but I've been told to start introducing normal foods. Ive done the crispy stage successfully. So much so that crisp breaded, melba toast and the like are boring me. Basically, I don't know what to bring to work for lunch. It's so difficult because I don't very often fancy things anymore so don't know what to have! What do you all do for lunch? Inspiration greatly needed!!! Thanks x

to early for me to advise, but how about half a wrap with phlli or jacket pot and beans if you have microwave.... cheese and crackers...

I tried wraps twice, once it went down a treat, second time it made a reappearance! But I might give it another go! Thanks for the advice!! X

Hi Chubby..that sounds so wrong... i came here trying to find inspiration too. I had my op 1 day after you and am feel just like you. No inspiration at all. Nothing tastes good anymore. I am soooooo done with crispbread and soft cheesy type things.

It would be so good to hear from someone else who had surgery so close to me. Im at a point now that i am wondering if i made a huge mistake....

I seem to be on a diet of crispbread with laughing cow, orange juice, soups and lemon water. What else have you been eating so far? How did you find the transition from the first to 2nd stages?

It will take a while to get your tastebuds going again. This is one of the hardest things I found about wls!Tempt yourself with tasty morsels of flavoursome food. One thing I love is a tin of tuna with a little chopped onion, sweetcorn and balsamic vinegar.Throw in a tub and take to work.

Hi Leigh!
Sorry you are starting to regret it! I started recently having toasted danish bread. Tonight I had that with a "dippy egg!" And it was awesome!!! Also had marmite on toast. But same as you I feel like I've been on crispbreads with philly or laughing cow or peanut butter for an age.
I've found omlette has been good but can only do that for so long. I really seem to struggle with meat, tried ham and chicken so far and struggled to get it down.
What have you been having? X x

I took Tuna today on ryvita and didnt enjoy it felt like it was stuck for ages. Ive had it before no problems though so no real pattern emerging. Things I have been ok with sometimes make me vomit now. I'm vomiting more regular and generally just not enjoying food or eating anywhere near enough. Just got to keep on going and hope it gets better, Ive had an easy ride so far so musnt grumble. x

Prawns, ham, cottage cheese, smoked salmon? Jacket spuds with cheesey beans? Ooh those John West Tuna meals? Very small appetites so will probably do for 3 lunches lol

Feels like ages ago i was at that stage. Sorry i can't remember more...
