Making Milk Jelly

Tatiana

New Member
I am going to give milk jelly a go and have read about people making it up as normal but with less water and then replacing that with milk.

What I wanted to ask was how much milk should I use?

I used to have this when little it yum, can we have this on first stage bypass, let me know how u get on hun xx

Bex,

My idea is to use it as part of my pre-op diet. I am going to have a play tomorrow and mix jelly crystals with a small amount of boiling water then add some cold to cool it before topping up with milk. Will probably use about 2/3 the total fluid as milk.

Will report back tomorrow,

Tatiana

Would be interested in how you do it. I tried it once but milk curdled. The way i tried it was, Make up half a pint with boiling water as usual, wait for it to cool, then add half pint of milk. I was a little impatient and think i should have waited for it to be cold before adding milk, thats why it curdled, cause jelly was still warm.
Good luck!

Thanks Danielle,

I thought about adding hot jelly to cold milk and that it might cause problems which was why I decided I will try adding cold wster to the mix first before adding it to the milk. I also think you have to whisk it for best results!

Will report back tomorrow,

Tatiana

I looked it up, you get the jelly and add tiny bit of boiling water to melt it, then you add to the milk?? Are you on the milk diet hun x

Hi Bex,

I have a 4 option diet.....

1) 4 pots yoghurt, 4 cans soup. 200mls milk
2) 5 pints of milk
3) 4 pots yoghurt and 2 pints of milk
4) very low fat, low calorie, low protein and carbs diet where everything has to be weighed.

Can do a different option each day or the same one for the whole 2 weeks.

I think I'm going to try and do options 1, 2 and 3 to mix things up a bit!

Oh that's different hun, I start tomorrow, low carb diet, when do u start xx
