...can I take all of my pills at the same time?
What would happen?
Pre-op I took all of my meds all at once in a morning so would it be safe to now?
I mean my iron etc
What would it do to me? Would it hurt me in any way?

I take all of mine at same time Steph, but I only have 3 tablets to take - my zoton fast tab, my calcichew and my multivit.

NO!!!!
You cannot take your calcichew and iron together! They cancel each other out. There has to be a minimum 2 hour gap between taking them 2 tabs.
Mr Ammori (my surgeon) went mad when he found out they had not been telling patients this and called a team meeting there and then!
You must not take iron and calcium at the same time x

Thank you Sally, I will be sure to take them seperately but can I take both iron tabs together? instead of one in the morning and one at night I mean. I forget that evening one soooooo often that I thought if I take them together that will sort that issue out.
Also, am I ok to take the two iron at the same time as my multivit?

The reason you take them am & pm is so that the pm ones work over night. Also taking them together could cause constipation

If it helps i leave my night time pills at the side of my bed, its now part of my routine to get my pj's on and take my tablets before sliding on in...

I used to forget my morning metformin so now i insist on getting my own breakfast and have my routine of: kettle on, teabag in, tablets taken, make the tea get the cereal etc xx

My surgeon, Mr Ammori, suggested I take my tablets throughout the course of the day as to not irritate my little pouch. I bought an AM/PM pill organiser and put all my pills in there for the week and take a few at a time over the course of the day.

I take the whole cabudle all at once but my calcichew are in the conservatory therefore I just pop a couple later in the day as Ime walking through. I take 1xB12, 1xforceval,1xiron, 1xperfectil for skin,nails, & hair and 1xlaprazone. Gail x

Thanks for this, I had no idea, always take my calcium and iron together - no wonder my hair is still falling out! Feel a little cross that this hasn't been mentioned by the bariatric team - have been guzzling them for over 9 months! Grrr!

Lol Sal see what marriage has done to you already!! Steph i take all mine at once too much the same as everyone else but can sometimes be a bit forgetful! I only take one iron tablet a day as in my case it does cause constipation. xx

I have a fair few tabs to take and I know they need to be taken at different times throughout the day. Being a bit of a gadget girl, I set several alarms on my mobile phone and name each alarm with the name of the tabs I have to take, it is the only way I can ever manage to get them all in! (Mr Ammori was most insistent that I clearly understood that calcium and iron tablets should never be taken together)
