Do i have have to have any meds i take before and after opp changed to liquid form?

If you're having a bypass I think you do yes, but not for a sleeve or band :) xxx

from me phone :D

It does depend on your provider for bypass, Mine stopped my medication for two days and then put me back on it. I managed to take it in tablet form although it was a little struggle at first, no problem no 3 weeks post op. One tablet I couldn't miss for two days so they told me to take it at five in the morning before the op. When you have your pre op you should be able to discuss it with them and your GP will prescribe anything they can in liquid/chewable form :) x

I had blood pressure meds pre op & contraceptive pill. Post op I had everything crushed. The hospital gave me a crusher to take home but you can buy them in the pound shop or chemist.
The new meds & vitamins were given in liquid or chewable forms post op when I went home. I had a sleeve. Four months post op & all meds now back in pill form except don't have to take blood pressure ones any more yippeeeeee!

I am delighted & blood pressure absolutely normal now. At one point in my pre op days it was dangerously high. Obviously was my comorbidity that helped secure my op. it worked! Plus the weightloss is an amazing feeling.

Well done with blood pressure tabs. My doctor thinks I will be totally off them if I continue to have the great readings ive had lately. Shes cut down my dosage already :bliss:
