Hello everyone. Im pre op at the moment but just wondered if anyone had trouble physically taking their normal medication/tablets? If theres a size limit of tablets you can have after any surgery? I take Lamortigine tablets for my Epilepsy & wondered if i would be able to take them afterwards? Dont want to change as any change in meds means 6 months not driving unfortunatly xx

Best to ask your surgeon. Some people can take them after surgery I had to have mine crushed post op as I struggled to swallow them. X

I got a pill crusher from hospital and crushed mine and added to my drink x

I was given tablets ( including forceval which is huge) the day after my bypass. This was in Derby, but it may be different in your area. Personally, I didn't find them difficult to swallow.

I take mine whole, have done since the day after surgery. Not been started on vits yet, (waiitng for letter from dietitian) so can't comment on them!

I take various meds and managed them all in pill form from the day after the op. I tried chewable vitamins and they made me feel so nauseous so I just managed
