Six Month Post Op
Ok... Since having my band last may I have started suffering with migraines... May be a coincidence I don't know but every month or so I go through a bout of having them.. does any one else suffer from them? Just why am I getting them... :(

Yes i have suffered with them since I was little. They are not nice and once I have one I have to take my tablet and lie down for an hour, not asleep just with eyes closed till it goes :( Have you managed to get tablets off the doctors for when you get one ? X

It sounds like hormonal cluster migraines to me :wave_cry: My daughter has suffered from them since she was 13  She has them for 3 days before a period & 3 days after ... god knows how she puts up with them  She has been on every medication known to man but only one seems to help. It is called Zomig & it is a godsend ... ask your doctor about them ... hope you get sorted soon, honey xxx :wave_cry:

Yes I suffer with them, Only thing that gets rid of them for me is a tablet and some sleep time in a pitch black room, they are awful aint they xx

I haven't been to the Dr about them, maybe I should. They are just so unpredictable.. I usually take the mega strength nurofen migraine tablets, but they aren't cheap. But I figure once its set in nothing shifts it.. hey ho. Just sleep and time x

I got them alot before my band was fitted but spookily i have not had one since my op.
I would really recommend going to see your GP and getting some proper migraine medication. I tried every over the counter drug and nothing would shift them but the stuff that the doc prescribed is amazing and gets rid of them in about an hour.
Hope this is the same for you and that you get them under control. x
