Has anyone tried Mini Milks in the early stages post op? Are they ok to have?

Haven't considered anything like that!! What's the sugar/carbs in them??

I remember reading on here that they were ok as they are mainly milk and are low sugar etc.. This was a while ago though so want to double check before I have any.

Yes, they have only 1g protein but are low fat and within sugar limits. So they are ok to have once a day. Yum yum yum.

Hi Mandy

I've tried Sainsbury's own equivalent and they were nice :)
It said on the box that they have added calcium so I thought that may be good for me as I'm not having much in the way of milk or yoghurts.

I had them post op, a fellow bypasser brought me some when i got home from hospital :) Delish and so refreshing x

Yes they are fine!

are these ok for the liquid stage??

I'm sure they are Sarah I am only 5 days out and had half of a mini milk yesterday with no problems. I only had half because I was unsure but I will be having a full one today, it was delish!!

Oh mandy this is music to my ears...i'm so sick of cuppa soup, squash and bovril..i know even my beloved bovril is wearing thin with me. Gonna have to get the sugar free jelly made up i think for a change.
How ya getting on hun?

I bought the suger free jelly pots. Saves you making a big jelly. I cant finish a pot just couple of spoons so less waste x

I used the jelly pots then refilled them with sf jelly top with lf fromage frais and dust with chocolate Options,a sort of trifle!

I had mini milk ice lollies post op and still do. They are a welcome change, not too big and are very tasty.
You can definately have a full one.
I also like those long ice pops. You can get no added sugar ones and they are really refreshing. Not that I got much of a look in with them........... my dog wizzy goes crazy for them!
Lynne x
