More carbs?? Thats what the dietician says

I already have a thread running as I was looking for advice on my foods and how to improve my non existant weight loss.

Anyway I contacted my dietician and got an email back from him today. I asked the question if I should up my intake to aid my loss and he told by definitely no. I should be upping my carbs. What is going on I thought protein was the way to go???

Can anyone advise on this as I'm really confused now.
 
Hi Andrea.
I would say you still need carbs, just make it good carbs, rather than no carbs. PArticularly whole grains, vegetables, fruits and beans. Stay away from easily digested carbs like white bread, white rice and pastry. That's why I am doing and it works for me.

More complex carbs is what I was told to take at my 3 months app. I know it doesn't sound right - but they are the professionals. They said carbs at every meal.

Definitely need the complex carbs. It does actually aid in loss as well.
