so ive had my third appointment through and im just wondering what if i dont see him for one reason or another........would the registar still be able to put me on the list?..... ooooo noooo imagine of that happened, terrible arent i i sit here and imagine every other scenario that would stop my op or something :(

stop being daft nothings gonna stop you now - its daft the things you imagine. on monday i kept thinking what would happen if i broke down on the way or had a car crash wonder if they could take me to sunderland in the ambulance so i wouldnt miss my appointment - its only cos we want the op so much

Yes kelly sing along "nothing gonna stop us now"...lol thats what we all need to remember. you will get on the list we ALL will!! this appointment will only bring you one step further and if he ain't there surely mr balpuri or the other one would be filling in??? x

I've only ever seen Mr Small three times in person. Once at the original seminar & 2nd was when he agreed to my bypass but I think the only reason I saw him then was due to way I'd been treat & 3rd time was when I had my endoscopy. I didn't actually speak to him, he was just there!

If the cleaner had the authority to put me on the list I couldnt have cared, as long as I was on it ;) Ha, ha!!

I don't know if they are having a change around 'cos I was with Mr Small initially, but got the telephone call with my op date off Mr Schroeders secretary & I was told yesterday I was with Mr Balpuri!!

ooooo i LOVE mr balupuri he was so charming and made me very relaxed, im actually under mr small but i saw mr balupuri last time......... on my appointment card this time it has mr small..... eeeeek im EXCITED and and its oct tomorrow so 27 days!!! yaaaaay :) mr balupuri sigh id marry him he has a voice like graham from jemery kyle haha instantly calming

i like how he said to me, dont give a hoot about anyone else or what they think of you etc etc he s luuuuuffly

can u tell im smitten with him?

Erm, just a tad!! Ha, ha. Don't think I've actually met him though. I met Mr Schroeder when I went into hospital other week with abdominal pains..

they certainly pass us all around i saw mr schroder in seminar then mr b for the next appointment and then i was so pleased cos i saw mr small last time - my total hero so goodness knows who will do the op, not that i mind who does it they are all lovely ......

CONGRATS on your success so far - you must be so excited! You seem to have got through the process really quickly - much quicker than people waiting for bypass. Is that because you're waiting for a sleeve. I've just been ref to Sunderland for a balloon and hoping it won't take too long if not too many people want them? Do you know if that has made a difference to your progress?

can i ask why your getting a balloon sweets and not the other ops x

Kelly, you'll be fine.... and I'm sure that whoever you see will be able to add you to the waiting list. Fingers crossed for you hon.

PS You'll have to do a cd of inspriational music for the journey (or add to ipod) - what about Rocky where he's running up the steps - is it Eye of the Tiger? or - 'The Final Countdown' (which is quite apt I guess!)

I really don't like the idea of having an operation and while this doesn't sound pleasant at least no one is cutting in to me. BUT heard bad feedback from J-Mo so not sure now. I just want something that is going to work and sooner rather than later. What made you choose to get a sleeve?

i wanted a more permant proceedure, i mean dont get me worng if i knew i had the will power to keep the weight off then i wouldnt op for the surgical route so if you feel you can do that then thats fine.... BUT these are just opinions from people hun, everyones experiances are different and reactions so what might be bad for someone will be fine for someone else, its easy to become influenced on sites like this, so im just saying stick to your gut feeling and discuss it all with the surgeons :) if they feel a balloon is fine then id go for that xxx

Thank you. :flowers:
It is hard to know what to do for the best especially when its something you wish you didn't have to do at all! I'm looking forward to going to the seminar and finding out more as every time I Google my options I just get more and more confused. I just hate the thought of major surgery but then I don't want to be coming back in a year or so to have a second procedure because I couldn't keep the weight off. I appreciate your advice, thanks.

Hope you appointment goes well and I look forward to seeing how you get on x
