hiya as i was on pureed at christmas my dad cooked a crimbo dinner today just though t i would share what i ate....

could you tell me if this was a lot or about average for some??

1 slice turkey
1 tablespoon stuffing
1 teaspoon carrots
1 teaspoon peas
2 brussle sprouts
1 small parsnip
1 small roast potato
bisto gravy

that was very close to what i had on xmas day but it took over 40 mins to eat and jees did i know i had it

i had it about 4.30 and im ok lol, did feel a little stuffed after... ooh and a little bit windy hehe... but i managed it xx

Sounds yummy but its more than I can manage at 4 months post op! I'd just say be careful as your nerves aren't healed yet so you are not likely to be able to feel when your pouch is full. Obviously you won't be eating a Christmas dinner everyday lol!

thanks Minxie, oh no i wont be eating like that everyday. last night i had 4 meatballs in gravy, mash and carrots... so thats my normal type of dinner xx

I can't eat a quarter of that. My supper was:

One kosher sausage: managed half.
small piece of chicken : managed a quarter if that, less, probably.
A couple of tsps chopped liver.
Lettuce.

How big were the meatballs Rayne?

the meatballs were the fray bentos ones in tin Ruthie, so they about the size of a 2p but round lol... i love them x

ooh yeh, I love them to Rayne, in bolgnese sauce, made myself sick eating 3 of them last week, ate them too quickly and didn't chew!! I forgot!
I wouldn't be able to eat all that Rayne, I dont have potatoes if I have meat and veg. For Christmas day I had, 1 baby carrot, 1 and half sprouts, bite of parsnip, a pig in blanket and a bite of a parsnip.I had very tiny thin slices of turkey, gammon and beef (1 of each, about 10g)but could'nt eat it all. Be careful you don't stretch your new pouch so early out.

no they are not kosher hun, but if when im out shopping i find something like them which are i will let you know x

Marie... we prob had about the same but you had more meat lol. i wont be having christmas dinner now until next christmas.. back to normal tmro x
ooh have you tried the meatballs in tomato sauce... i might try them lol

It's OK Rayne; the kosher supermarket near me has got everything that's ever been invented and some that hasn't! Including a lot of American products no other kosher shop has in stock! If I wanted tinned meatballs I am sure I could find them there. Right now the thought doesn't appeal though lol!

lol... ive always liked tinned meatballs.. but they definately dont appeal to everyone x

I bought them from the Swedish Shop in Ikea. Had them ready in the freezer as they don't take long to cook, and 2-3 were a meal during the early stages.

Don't have the Ikea sauce if you dump!! It's made with cream. The berries are similar to a cranberry type sauce. Prob better to have them plain or make your own sauce.

ooh i dont like the ikea sauce anyway... and yes it is high in fat... i may get the meatballs though and stick to my bisto lol xx

You can buy the sauce to. I make it up using half water/ half skimmed milk instead of cream and think it tastes better!

i didn't even know Ikea did food :) never been to one

i hate Ikea its too big lol.. but OMG Angie try there meatballs, they are lush lol
