Each hospital is different, but usually it's an information/education group meeting where they talk through options and procedures including the pros & cons to ensure that people make informed decisions in progressing.
Ring the hospital to ask. I've spoken to a fair few over last few weeks - interesting on how they all approach things differently.
I am under st georges hospital in tooting and my first appointment was with dietician. She asked questions about my diet, about previous atempts to lose weight, gave some suggestions what to change in my diet, then we spoke about all different type of procedures, and she explained a bit about the process and what is going to hapoen next.
So it once more proves that every hospital is different.
