MY FIRST SUPPER

Hello everyone

I had me first "normal" dinner tonight. I had very little onion and peppers ( about 1/4 of a small onion & pepper) and 4 cubes of home made chicken tikka (no sauce and made with zero fat yogurt and tikka spices) and I thoroughly enjoyed it :D.... I got a little wind due (prob taking in too much air when chewing) but so far so good...not bought it up or felt like I am gonna be sick ( this is a big worry for me ).

Oooo sounds yummy! I'm so looking forward to 'proper' food.....there's only so much soup a girl can eat and enjoy!

Hi Julie,

Interesting reading about your first meal. I was told to start with wafer meats like ham then to progress onto thicker ham. Chicken was for later on and you could only eat pieces the size of a rubber on the end of a pencil. Made me think was it really worth the effort! Would welcome any comments to help me x

Hello there..

I am just following the diet sheet from my provider hun,(2 weeks liquids, 2 weeks slops, and from week 4 normal healthy meals but tiny portions) I guess thats where the providers all differ etc, what have you been told????

I have not had any problems with the chicken I ate earlier ( no pain, sickness or any comfortable feelings) it was just plain chicken breast (no skin) ......

The dietary advice was the same as you for the first few weeks but now it is the introduction of "normal" foods - did you have to cut your chix into tiny pieces or were they just small bite sizes?

I kept the cubes whole but just nibble a little piece at a time ( about the size of a 1 pence ) and made sure I chewed, chewed, chewed lol. I was more worried about it sticking or making me sick, but I just followed the guidelines and I was ok.... I admit I was a little scared to try "new" things but I was worried for no reason. HTH
