I'm on it too , though not quite sure of the benefit of friends , I just log my food . Anyone can add me ... just stick 09 after my user name ( before I get told off haha )
I lived n breathed by as you can track not just everything you eat calorie wise but more importantly monitor protein n carb intake etc. only stopped using it as joined weight watchers n now using their app but its no where near as good
By adding friends you can update with comments and view each others diaries for ideas etc!
I'm on there to use it over ww app because you get the protein intake etc clearly shown as well as calories I find it a great help. Feel free to tag me, although someone tried the other day & I declined as never heard of them so give me a clue on the request if you can as I tend to be careful adding people I don't recognise on any of these sites Facebook etc.
Natstar, it has a list of foods some we have all added as needed some from a basic list, it's easy to add foods just by listing the nutrition info from the packets etc or making your own recipies & it does the Maths for you. However some people have added foods & not listed all the nutrition info some you add something high in protien for example & your logged levels done change make sure you check what's on for each thing otherwise you're frustrated by the errors. Having said that I find it a great help.
It's worth having a look at, it's free, and I have found it invaluable , after all these years of trying various diets I have a fair idea of calorific value of foods but absolutely not idea of protein content
