My Hospital Choices

Hi all.

As some of you might know St Richards in Chichester is closed to new patients. So I have been sent a list of other hospitals to choose from, they are :-

Ashford & St Peter's
Guy's & St Thomas
Homerton
St Georges
The Whittington
Chelsea & Westminster
Kings College
Imperial College

I am looking into to these hospitals & Surgeons myself, but I would welcome any input you may have (both good & bad).

Hi Mark

I swear by The Whittington. They have a specialist bariatric team and the pre and after care is fabulous. There is also a monthly support group for pre and post op patients and hotlines and all sorts. Mr Sufi is the clinical lead and was my surgeon and he turned my life round. If you google the Whittington Hospital, they have their own website with a very informative video. Good luck

Hi Mark

I think you will find there are a few of us on here that have had or will have surgery at the hospitals you have listed.

I am personally under St Georges. I have found them to be really good and very supportive. The whole process for me from referall to making it onto the waiting list was about 12 months. Once on the list the wait is a further 18 to 22 weeks.

I am due to have my op on 15th Dec, I too was unable to chose St Richards as their waiting list had already closed so i chose UCHL and am already really impressed with the service I have received under the clinic of Dr Adamo / Fiennes ....good luck !! xx
