I know everyone does this but as my sleeve op was only last Thursday I thought I would do give you all my "whoooo" moments.
Firstly, I need a slap on the wrist. I swore I would not weigh myself until my 6 week check but the suspense was literally killing me. Ha! Since surgery I have lost 8lbs which brings me to 2 stone in total since the last time I was weighed, a week or so before I began the pre-op diet.
I no longer need Metformin.
Again, I know we all go through this but the feeling for not wanting or needing food is so refreshing to me. Being able to sip instead of throw drinks down my throat is just wonderful. I know the appetite eventually returns but I hope I still have many, many months of this ahead of me.
The trousers that I wore day in, day out for few months no longer dig into my tummy. I refused to by more when I knew surgery was a go. They are the only pair I have left; another few weeks and I can burn them!
My face looks normal (to me) now. It's not as bloated and dark and my eyes don't look like they are being swallowed up by the surrounding flesh.
I really cannot wait for the months to fly by and for the changes to continue.
