Be strong n brave for you need to put on a brave face for him, if he knows you are feeling really chewed up will make it twice as hard for him, just make sure he knows how proud you are of him, so he goes away with a positive mental attitude, and a picture in his heart of his mam happy n proud of him, plenty time to stress n worry when he is out of sight. I know its difficult, my son went to join the army we put him on the train and then I broke my heart all the way home. 5 weeks later he was home with a knee problem he had always had but thought it wouldn't bother him medically discharged so I can well understand how you will be feeling. Its a very worrying and emotional time for you. He will be anxious but he knows its what he has been training for and will be rising to the challenge. May God bless him and keep him safe. xx
