New Life hunter!!!

Hi been told to start anew thread so as people can see my progress to my new life fingers and toes crossed.

I start my pre op diet on the 31st October 2009 cant wait to get started now I am gettng fed up with food and thinking about it so will hopefully be a new challenge to get me interested again.

My op is 7th November I am having the gastric band fitted at Surgicare in Droitwich and my surgeon is Mr A Khan.

Surgicare have been fantastic and so supportive and especially Lynne and George they have been great and including Dr Khan I have called them my Charlie's angels so hopefully all will go well.

Will keep you all updated in here of anyone is interested that is.

Hi Jayney

Good luck with your surgery and your weight loss. I had my surgery with Amir Khan on 30th August, but mine was NHS at Walsall Manor Hospital. Theres a huge gang of his patients on here but all of them are NHS. Look for the thread called Walsall Massive if you want to find other people who he operated on.

Hi Jayne, snap!! My op is on the 7th too arghhh scary!! You're lucky only having to do the pre op for a week, mine is for 2 weeks boooooo!! :cry:

getting nervous now only one week well 5 days of eating food proper putting on weight food and I will be so glad when I dont have to think about that kind of food anymore!! Got a busy week of friends wanting to take me out as if I wont ever be able to socialise anymore tut bad bad way to think as I will be normal whatever normal is!!! Getting worried about vitamins and my dietician told me to get capsules for when after my 2 weeks of fluids but a pal who had band 18 months ago says she cant take then and has to have disolvable ones is that right does anyone know or can some of us take normal pills after 2 weeks?? help x x

so excited now!!! Had a great night out with work colleagues and they have all made me feel so excited saying how lovely I am going to look and how they cant wait for me to see what they have seen all along and believe in myself and be confident. I am so excited now it is nearly here. My Dad went and found the hospital location today so he knows where to take me. I start pre-op diet in 2 days and nervous but excited too. Got a school reunion on Friday and hopefully can arrange another one next year so they can all see the difference. Will take lots of pictures so I can compare. I am so excited and feel so confident with my surgicare team I know they are all there if I need them...yeah!!!!
