Hi everyone. I've just joined the site as I've asked my GP to refer me to UCLH for WL surgery. I'm 399lbs with a bmi of 64.
I really want a duodenal switch, but I have a few questions. Does the UCLH do the switch? How long does it take from the initial referral to getting an appointment at the hospital? And finally, apart from high blood pressure, I have no health issues. Do you think that having such a high bmi, but few other issues, I'll get the okay more easily?
Any info is gratefully received. Thanks!
