New user who can't edit their own postings

I've only posted on threads a few times and on occasions I wanted edit what I'd posted but can't see how I can edit, as there does appear to be a function available. Is it because I am a new user?

I have the same thing - I can't edit my posts either. I am on another forum that uses the same software as this one and there is usually a 'modify' or 'edit' button next to the 'quote' button in my own posts, but not here. I've only ever wanted to edit a post immediately after posting it because I've missed something out, so it's not that I've waited longer than 15 minutes. Perhaps it will change once I have 20 posts?

Yes you were right, once you get to 20 posts you can edit your post(for 20 min). However I have changed it, you can now edit your posts with less than 20 posts.
