Hi I'm Sam and started the initial milk diet on Tuesday. Looking forward to the surgery and a new lease of life.

Hi Sam, I am new on here too. On my second week of pre-op diet - new lease of life starts on the 31st August :)

Good luck - not long now :)

I am post op sleever. Loving mine. Good luck. This is a great forum with such nice people.

It's so interesting to hear from people who have had the surgery and how they feel. Do you eat normally yet?

Hi Sam.
Where are you having your surgery?
I'm 6 weeks post-op sleeve, and I love it...
I can now eat almost everything (struggled a bit with certain fish) but really small portions - I eat less than my 7, 5 & 3 year old kids!
This is a great place where you can ask anything.
Good luck

Well I've had a few problems with my allergies but had them before op but now a bit worse. I can't get on with meat or poultry but fish is fine. I can't eat bread or rice but can have a bit if pasta. Portions very small & never hungry.
I go out to eat regularly but can only manage a little so try to go to top quality restaurants. I usually have a starter as a main course or have a main course but can only manage a 1/3 to half of it. So now normal for me.
It is amazing how you adapt. I used to live to eat but now eat to live - ie for good nutritional value to keep me healthy. I am finding my new approach actually fairly easy to be honest now I'm not so stressed about what to eat & will I tolerate it etc.
Weight loss has been so fantastic & liberating from my chronic back pain & immobility. I was a size 30 now a size 20 is a bit big & buying 18's.
I still love food, cooking, watching food programmes, reading foodie magazines. I even belong to the Clandestine Cake Club & bake. Just don't eat much anymore. It is the strangest but wonderful feeling I've ever experienced in my life.

So inspirational - that's exactly why I'm doing this

Hi Sam and welcome to the site. Good luck with your surgery
