Hi all
I had a gastric bypass on NHS 5 months ago. So far plain sailing with no complications whatsoever. Was BMI 43 now I am BMI 29. Weight loss of 96lb. Big improvement and glad to have lost the obese label. I am here as I want to reach out to others in a similar situation to me as I am finding it hard to motivate myself to exercise now the weight loss is slowing down and I was hoping to share with others what works/doesn't work for them. I am worrying that everything will plateau and I will be left still being overweight. My mother is 2.5 years post bypass surgery and she is now gaining weight again. I really want a different reality for myself but that doesn't motivate me to exercise.
As a former Chef I am also happy to support others and provide cooking advice and recipes to anyone who strugles with this aspect of the new life post bypass.
