Newbie from tameside

Hi all,

Been thinking about bypass surgery for over a year, finally decided to go for it, got my appointment with my GP on monday.

Has anyone got any experience of the way things work in the Tameside Pct.:wave_cry:

Im from Manchester but same PCT I think as you as my GP is in Tameside.

With regards to Tameside PCT i went to my GP in Ashton Under Lyne who wrote to my trust outlining my case and they accepted the funding in a week but i had been to weight loss clinics tried all the diet tablets etc and had a bmi of over 55 so i think thats the reason it all went through smoothly, if you need anymore info or you want to contact me please do i will call to see you and go through anything you want to know, good luck xx

Was your GP helpful (Who is he, mines Dr Proctor from the Hollies), Did you find the referall stressful?

Matt how r u doing pal small world ehh yeah ive done ok mate lost 14st in all so cant complain, my gp has retired now but my practice is The Highlands on pottinger st Ashton and the referall was easy mate the waiting isnt though the wait makes you fully aware of whats going to happen and this site is an absolute godsend.
