Hi, my names Wendy I am married with 2 children aged 8 and 18 I have struggled with being over weight for many years and now feel I need to do something that has a good success rate I can't wait to be able to do more things with my boy's . I am currently on the waiting list for a Gastric Bypass and hope to have it this month April. I am not finding it that easy at the moment to use this site hopefully with time I will get used to it.

I found it difficult to at first, the more you post the better you get at it.I'm Christine and I'm 47 and it took me almost 2years to get to my bypass op last August 2011. I have lost 8 stone sincethe start of this journey, (2 in july and 5 since op and 1 leading up til last july. I am married coming up 27yrs and have 2 kids girl 24 n boy 23. boy has left home daughhter still with us. I must say the bulk of my weight went on from pregnancy i was 13.5lb wen i fell pregnant with 1st child after that well just went up and up never stopped me doing anything mind but knew i needed help to sort it out before i get any older wish had done it years ago, i was almost 25 stone whe i started out. good luck with your op will watch out for your posts xx

I have also been married 27years this year my 8 year old keeps me on my toes so it would be nice to have a bit more energy to keep up with him as he is on the go from 6 in the morning until 10 at night. Thanks for welcoming me I think the site is going to be very useful.
