whens ur syrgery date paula i kno all hospitals are diffrent some say will be 2 weeks after pre op others have date for surgery b4 pre op x

I have my bypass on the 23rd of September . I've been on the waiting list for over a year. Have you been waiting long ? Have you started your pre op diet yet ?

thanx guys sorry for delay as im still learning to use the site and no paula ive not been waiting that long really since visit to my own GP about my weight early in may so not too long xx

not had the pre op diet yet maybe ill get that when i go on 28th not sure really what happens on this pre op ive quit smoking too for the op been 3 weeks now since me last cig lol but looking forward to surgery xx wosh u all best with urs too hun xx

Thanks Audra!! And good luck with the giving up smoking. I gave up back in February, and have never looked back, but do remember how hard it was those first few weeks. Which op are you having? Bypass? Band? or sleeve?? or something else??

Hello I am new to this site. I had my first dr app. On aug 28th, I need to gain 7lbs for Medicare to pay for my op. my BMI is 38 need to be at a 40. I was wondering if any one else has had to do this?

They normally tell everyone to really cut back before op and lose weight.

hi amanda im having bypass had my pre op today gutted has i didnt get my opdate due to waiting for heart scan as they found i have a heart murmour so pretty much gutted today but hopefully wont be too long be 4 i hear from them xx
