ive got my fist appointment to see dr dresner at james cook on the 4th of november, im hoping to have a vsg and gallbladder removal, anybody else at james cook? im from hartlepool

Hi janjan, I'm at James Cook, only had one appt so far, it was a seminar back on 8th sept, the next day I received a call from one of the bariatric nurses and set a weight loss goal to lose (7kg) by next appt on 8th dec. the team there are great, and I'm feeling very positive about the who thing. They indicated that if I reached my weight loss target by 8th dec I could be looking at having bypass in January, all being well ! Best of luck with your journey x

Yes I thought that to, not sure if it will pan out that way but, I'd doesn't seem like it's going to be to long a wait either way x

Hi... Not yet, I have my pre op on jan 26th and see diabetic specialist on the 15th Jan, have to say the waiting is killing me!! xx

My husband has only just been to the warts and all seminar so I know it seems like forever to get things moving loulabelle.
Please done hate me for it but I somehow jumped the queue because of my band problems proving that I am capable of losing weight and that the restrictive method obviously works for me he booked me in to remove the band in November and bypass January, but now I feel awful because my husband was already going through the process and now I have left him behind! But as I keep telling him, a year is nothing in the grand scheme of things and now you have met Mr dresner it doesn't matter if you lose weight and drop slightly below the expected bmi he wants to help those who have struggled and will do the op anyway! So good luck and chin up xx
