At 14 I weighed 14 stone at 20 I weight 20 stone :sigh:
Lost weight gained weight at my heaviest I was 30 stone, never manage to maintain weight loss.
This journey starts with a fall at work that resulted in me being in constant pain. My Dr informed me due to my weight I had to do three months of physio and lose 3 stone to be reffered to investigate the pains in my knees.
I went private!
I require knee replacements but the specialist will not operate because of my BMi being so high :cry:
If I want to walk I have to reduce my weight
Weight loss surgery is not included on my private insurance. My Dr mentioned weight loss surgery then I got two letters;
An appointment has been made for me to attend Luton & Dunstable Obesity Assessment Clinic on Friday 28th September to talk to the Obesity Nurse.
A further appointment has been made for me to be seen by a Bariatric Mdt the same day.
Does anyone know does this mean NHS funding has been granted?
