No Fill?

OK this might be a stupid question………….does the band ever work without a fill? can the sensation of a loose band on your stomach have an effect? x
 
Yes it can, a lot of people feel restriction when they have their band put into place and do not have anything put into it, but this does tend to be short lived and the restriction from having the band placed does ease.

It does vary when people reach restriction, some people do so from very minimal amounts of fills, some, and I include myself in this are still seeking it 12 months on and after 6+ fills . . .
 
my band is currently empty and I can still feel effects of it if I eat to much to quickly but mines slipped so it might be positioning doing that but I think there is some degree however small of restriction just from the band
 
It certainly can! I had my band in April and by the time I was ready for a fill in September I had already lost over a third of the weight I wanted to lose. Experts will disagree with this saying its the placebo effect but for me it was due to the significant reduction in what I ate.

You will often read people saying they have no restriction but what that means for them is usually a moving feast. Have a read of this thread I posted a while ago:

I had my band 4 wks ago, it was emptied a week after i had it. I still cant eat much i have restriction but still feel hungry x
