Not feeling well

I don't think this is dumping as I have stuck to what I've had all week and have no over done it on the soups. Feeling nauseous and had upset stomach this morning. I guess it's just my body getting used to things and I'm just feeling sorry for myself. It's been a tough week with surgery and losing grandad and everything's caught up with me. I was going to go for a walk today but fear straying from the bathroom

Sorry to hear that you're feeling unwell and for your loss :(
I've suffered from nausea ever since my op in May. I'm not sure how long it lasts for for I'm getting used to it. I find if I drink some kind of fruit juice I feel better. I mainly drink Cranberry, Apple or Orange juice.
As time goes on you will get used to feeling a certain way but things do get better, time is a great healer and all that jazz :)

Hiya Paula, as a previous poster has already said, you really need to think about you and look after yourself!
I can't imagine how hard it is to deal with your loss straight after major surgery, but stay strong lovely ((hugs)) and remember we're all here for you.
Em xxxxx

Plenty water helps with the nauseas feeling or you could try something with ginger in that settles the tummy down, but i can remember feeling like that a lot after the surgery, was never sick but goodness me felt it xxPeppermint tea also does the trick xx

As others have said the nausea is normal. I was sick and feeling sick quite a lot in the early days and even now get the odd moment I feel rough. It is usually the time after I eat but before I can drink. When I saw my surgeon after the surgery I said about the nausea and he said not to worry (unless you can't keep anything down, especially water but that isn't the case with you), that some people get it more than others and it just take some time getting use to things. He said by 3 months post op I'd feel better than I did pre op, well he was wrong it happened much sooner than that but it really does take time to adjust in the beginning. Like it's been said, you've had major surgery so give your self plenty of time to recover. Take care x

Edited to add - I had an upset tummy in the early days too but that went away after a couple of weeks. Make sure you are drinking lots to replace the fluid, if you are worried talk to your team or GP. I found dairy was the main culprit and cut it out for 4 weeks. Then introduced it slowly again. That worked fine, some people find they have a mild intolerance post op so maybe worth giving it a go to see if it helps. I used soy products for a little while. Best of luck x

Same here hun. i had terrible nausea for about 6 days after surgery. heavy breathing etc. Anyone would have thought i was in labour lol. I also had the trots and boy did my hubby know about it. All pretty much normal hun....sorry for your loss x
