not such a good day today

i remember feeling a bit like this myself hun, it felt a bit like baby blues when i had it, some days i was ok, others i just felt very weepy and alone. someone said its as your fat is melting away, all the hormones that are stored in the fat are let loose in your body, this made some sort of sense to me, and once i could understand it, i felt a little better. dont worry too much about drinking loads, just get a sports bottle or something similar, and have some nas squash in it, it seems to go down a bit better than just water, carry it with you and just keep having little sips, youll get through more than you realise, and that helps you feel a bit better too. i cant really suggest anything else, but someone else will be able to, im sure. the support on here is second to none, as you know, and we are all thinking of you. i really do hope you feel better soon, but what you are f eeling is very normal. make sure you rest, and keep sip sip sipping. big hugs xxx (sorry to waffle on, lol)

Aw big hugs hun. I also had days where I had the blues after the op, the anaestic (sp) does this too you.

Can you not take some pain relief hun.

Why dont you just snuggle up and just rest and just sip sip sip when you can.

Hello sweetie, soldier on with the sipping xxx Best thing to do is to make sure your dosed up for the pain and try and distract yourself from thinking about it. Am sending you some really addictive little mini game links..see if you fancy getting stuck in to some of them xxx This will pass soon

have you tried deflatine for the wind pain hun, it is really good, i think its fatmomma who swears by them, other than sometimes warm/hot water can help with wind pain, and i think some take gripe water, also walking around helps as well. i know it dosnt seem like it, but all this will pass,it just seems so rotten when your going through it dosnt it. just keep thinking of how much better your gonna feel in a few days, big hugs xx

Ive got some but wasnt 100% sure if I could take it with some of my other medications, couldnt get hold of any one at the hospital yesterday to ask.

Thank you x

Deflatine made a massive difference to me too... Have you tried heating yr milk up? I had to heat everything up to drink initially used to sit there with cups of hot water!

2 weeks out now & I find I can drink better & cooler. xx

How lovely.... I think flowers always put a smile on peoples faces!

I've been drinking tons of lemon & giner tea thats become my favourite. x

Make sure you have a drink at hand all the time and just take sips when you can. It all adds up. Also, I found that walking - even just from one room to another and back - every half hour, really helped with getting the windypops moving.

It's totally natural to have 'post-op blues' at this stage. I've had them after every surgery I've ever had. As I said to you the other day, I promise that things DO get better. xx

Moving does help it come up a bit lol. I feel a lot more bloated than I have prior to now, not a nice feeling.

Glad to see you back, was everything ok in the end?

Not exactly ok, I have to go back to see the Cardiologist next week. It's possible that I may need to have a heart valve replaced. The good thing is that I would be in a much better position, healthwise, to handle the surgery now. No way am I going to let this little thing stop me though! xx
