O/T Lhasa apso

Well Margaret in 20 years of dog training & working with aggressive dogs I can honestly say I have never been called out to one with bad habits! Obviously they are pure breed which means they may have inherent health problems as do so many pure breeds, but I have a couple of friends whose children have been bought up round them with no problems. The only advise I will give you is that some can become quite terratorial (that is not breed specific) so make sure if you get one, they know their place in the pack.

I will get some info for you and PM you. One of my pals down south is a breeder.

margaret, get a retired greyhound, they are perfect pets! great with children, loyal and short haired!!!

Hi Marg,for total devotion a Lab,Best pal a Jack russell,Big soft companion a Staffy.Maz x

Hi Margaret, I have 2 Lhasa apso's. I have a girl aged 4 and a boy aged 3 who are going to be parents any day now. They are the most adorable dogs I have ever known. Like all animals they need love and attention. They don't mault which is good for me because of my asthma. Mine have never had any health problems and the only time I have taken them to the vets is for there yearly boosters. Right now my girl Lulu is sat next to me while I'm on the laptop and my boy Buster is sat at my feet.As for the kids i believe its how they are brought up. I have always got kids here so mine are fine with them.Lulu is due any day so I'll keep you informedxxx

Get a staffy, they're adorabubble:D:D

Margaret - you can borrow my Newfoundland any time you like. You will then probably opt for a x-breed that is shy and retiring. Before taking delivery of my 10.5 stone pup, you need to:

  • Remove all objects below the 6ft limit due to eating & breakage.
  • Cover all furniture / clothes / carpet in old towels due to constant saliva dribble / slavver
  • Coat the walls in vinyl silk due to rigorous shaking of the head and splatting of said saliva up walls
  • Remove any evidence of food - put child locks on all cupboards & fridges / dish washers etc.
  • Lock washing machine & laundry area due to penchant for eating socks & pants
  • Wear steel toe caps due to habit of sleeping on your feet
  • and allow giant play area due to pup thinking she is the size of a Jack Russell.

I can assure you - a lovely x-breed demure dog will sound like a dream after a week with my newf!!!!!:eek::D:D:D
