Bumps along somehow
:cry:I found out today that my psychiatrist died last week. She had been off work for 3 months with back problems but during a scan (5 weeks ago)of her spine malignant and inoperable tumours were discovered. She died last week.
She was only in her late 30's and I've been seeing her for about 10 years - well before I had to stop working. She has been there for me week in/week out. She was fabulous, always wanting to listen and work with me on my treatment ( instead of acting God like some do). She was never just a pill dispenser. She was such a special woman. She had a young family.
It is heartbreaking to think of her quick decline, she who always knew what to do suddenly not being able to do anything to fight off this terrible and quick disease. As a doctor (before she specialised), she would have been so aware of what was going to happen.
I really am devastated.
