omlette...

I'm on the soft food stage. Do you think an omlette would be ok? X

I had my first one at week five post op. I looked forward to it for five weeks and then the great day arrived. I ate that one egg omelette with joy bordering on sexual gratification, and it tasted so chuffin good. Sadly within ten seconds of the last mouthful I discovered my new pouch hated eggs and it was in the bucket quicker than in me  I couldn't eat eggs for two years though I'm OK with them now.

Take it easy and be ready to find your pouch is not a fan.

Thanks you guys!! I had a bit of scrambled and a bit of my other half's omlette and so pleased o didn't have the same reaction as Karlos!! It tasted really good!!!!
I'm finding I am enjoying food more at the moment, I assume because it takes time to chew and eat it, where as before I'd inhale my food! Do you find the same??

I find that I now feel the food tastes different than before my op, this could be down to me covering everything in Tommy K as well lol

I am finding that I am planning my meals early, then I dont even think of them again until its time to eat, not that I am hungry at that time.

How are you doing generally.

I'm so surprised how well I've felt through the whole process. Touch wood I seem to tolerate whatever I try and I know I'm lucky! I also try and plan food like you, but mainly because I don't really fancy food like I used to, again I'm lucky that I don't get head hunger! I hope it stays Luke this!!
How are you finding it? What kind of things are you eating? :)

Im like you, whatever I try I seem fine with, although chicken the otherday didnt agree with me and soon came back up, but thats the only thing.

I have had eggs, hard boiled/poached/scrambled. Ham, cheese grated/soft/slices/triangles, fish tuna/haddock/pilchards. Tinned fruit pineapple/grapefruit/manderin/pear

And the list goes on.

I hope we stay lucky!! :)

I'm fine with scrambled eggs with grated cheese mixed in, but can't tolerate an omelette yet. Would love to have one though.
