On puree/soft stage can i have fruit?

louisaL

looking to make a change!
And would they need to be strawberries and such that can be squished or can I have ripe melon etc ?

I was told to puree fruit but I have managed to eat honeydew melon and also water melon as they are quite juicy tried the orange flesh melon was very sick after also I have tried a strawberry was hard to digest but again everyone is different . One more thing if you add it to a bit of yoghurt of low fat custard it seems to go down better.

Banana is good for this stage, pureed cooked apple. Anything that goes down well is good for this stage really. You'll know if you can't handle it. Try and stay away from lots of pips like raspberries, blackberries etc. Cooked fruits are fab.

I do. I have melon, and I peel grapes and eat them, but I waited until the second week of soft foods. Strawberries are fine for me but I dump on banana. Its the only thing so far I have dumped on!

Yve - I was looking forward to some mashed up banana. But I shall try it and see if it's okay for me.

LouisaL - I thought we had to puree it. I've got some tinned fruit in the cupboard - pears, apple and peaches - which are really soft and I'm going to puree some and have a bit with a dollop of either vanilla yoghurt or LF custard. Yum. Stewed fruit should be okay too. I'm working on upping my proteins at the moment during the day now I'm on puree so I'm going to have a bit tonight after I have to take my disgusting medicine (I'll be glad when I can take tablets again - it's vile).

At the purée stage I had stewed fruit to top some 0% Greek yoghurt. Yummy & because if the Greek yoghurt full of protein. I usegreek yoghurt as you would custard or cream as my husbands says its hurt lush!
