See Bandito very qualified and inspirational
all our journeys are valid and all very different. I sobbed and sobbed once i was back on the ward wondering what the hell i had done!! My main pain was wind..... after coming round after op the nurses brought me calpol which i was advised to take, but wasn't in pain. I did have a funny turn feeling sick but that was the anesthetic coming out, i've not heard many say they feel sick afterwards. I was sent home with loads of paracetamol but only day 4 post op did i take any and that was for wind..... it was uncomfortable really and it wouldn't shift. Paracetamol just took the edge of it, plus i laid on a hot water bottle which helped too.
Can say pre op was hard but post op is not a picnic either lol sorry not trying to put you off just want you to be informed and prepared. Not everyone suffers .... some breeze thru, i was 4 weeks post op before i started feeling almost normal again, some are back to work in 2 weeks, its horses for courses !!! I had a tooth out at dentist 2 weeks ago and old crown remove, i was in more pain after that than the band op LOL
I think my diary has all my journey details have a read. Always wanted to tell it as it was so others could get an idea from what to expect.
In the mean time hunni, breath
get some rest early start tomorrow x x x I was the same honest, reading and re reading the good the bad the ugly, almost backed out on the day, but now here i am 7 weeks post op 46lb down, just off out for a walk and feeling brill. Just remember its no miracle cure, its hard work lol the band can still be cheated if your that way inclined ......... but my answer is why put yourself thru this just to cheat. Follow the rules and you'll be fine
