Pain in right shoulder blade

Hi. It's probably referred pain from trapped wind under your diaphragm, it happens alot with any abdominal surgery. They pump air into the abdomen to make room so they can get to the organs, making it easier for them to work, should settle down soon. If not speak to your team, good luck on you weightoss journey x

hiya julia,. i experienced the same pain when i was 8 days post op , it was breath taking however i went to the chemist and spoke to the chemist he suggested i bought some windeze tablets, next day i was able to bear the pain and within couple days it had lifted , i was also told when the pain there, walk about it does shift it . hope you feel well soon . tc xx

Move as much as poss and whirl your arms like a helicoptor! It will shift eventually.Maz x

Had this really bad after my op last week - tried Windeze tablets and also did some stretching exercises (sideways and forwards and back) to release any trapped wind and also used heat packs on it.
Was close to tears yesterday with the pain but it's so much better today so going to carry on taking the tablets and keeping things moving!

If this is happening six months post op I would speak to your GP or consultant - you could have gall bladder problems or perahps gallstones. x
hi neeta, i went to my own doctors about this and i was given colpermin would you believe it?! haha

I had the same pain for weeks after my surgery, I found peppermint cordial in a little warm water shifted the wind causing the pain and also moving about as much as possible will help dislodge the trapped wind. Good luck! x
