It depends on which surgery you had, but also on the person... We're all different. Personally I can eat it, but I didn't try it until About nine weeks out... I still want to avoid it because it doesn't fill me as much as protein does, but I can eat it.

I've had a bypass and had pasta just over 5 weeks after op and im fine with it and eat it quite often x

I've had a sleeve-pass and have been able to eat pasta from about 5 weeks out. I had filled fresh ravioli to begin with as its softer but was able to managed fresh and dried after that. X

4 weeks post op, as macaroni cheese was on my list of things to try first on softs! No problems, haven't risked firmer pasta yet.

Had the tinned stuff at about 6 weeks, and had fresh and dried after about 10 weeks. I'm absolutely fine with it, but I'm fine with everything.

I had my bypass nine weeks ago. I guess I had reduced sugar tinned hoops in tom about week six. I can manage macaroni cheese now ok but only about a quarter of diet ready meal for one and I have to chew until my jaw aches. If you are particularly anxious then you could try first the teeny weeny dried soup pasta and see how you go. I must admit tho that the new me doesn't want to have such high carbs on a regular basis - it was what got me into this situation in the first place! But like so much in life no harm occasionally in moderation, I guess. x

I have been eating wholewheat spaghetti since 6 weeks post bypass its the only pasta I like but I've been fine
